Here's my second pass at this study, using a different and larger time span (1980s), a lower threshold of inclusion (min. 140 PAs), and excluding first-year players. Once again, this is for position players only.

Notes:
- Each age group had between 155 and 319 players.
- "WAR/650 PA" is based on the combined raw totals of WAR and PAs for each age group, then expressed per 650 PAs. This minimizes the impact of performance outliers with low PAs.
- "Avg. WAR" is the unweighted average of the individual WAR totals for each age group. Each player has equal weight in this figure, no matter how much he played.
